Shaykh Saleh al-Fawzaan
The greatest kind of apostasy is to commit ash-shirk in one's worship of Allaah, to worship others along with Allaah, like slaughtering for other than Allaah, or taking an oath by other than Allaah, or prostrating to other than Allaah, or seeking help from other than Allaah in affairs that no one has power over except Allaah. This is the greatest kind of apostasy.

All Praises belongs to Allah the Most High. Allah is the one who sustains life and causes death. I bear witness that He is alone above His throne in a manner that befits His Majesty. I also attest to the fact that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His final Messenger sent to mankind and Jinn. To our topic:

QUESTION:We hear about the Dajjaal and the Fitnah (tribulations) surrounding him, from which the Messenger (peace be upon him) sought refuge (in Allah), and we have been commanded to seek refuge (in Allah) from his fitnah. So who is the Dajjaal? And what are his attributes?

Author: Ibn Abee Zayd al-Qayrawaanee Source: Ar-Risaalah
The 'Aqeedah of As-Salaf As-Saalih (the Pious Predecessors) is the name we have given to this book. The bases of this 'aqeedah or its text has been taken from Ar-Risaalah by Ibn Abee Zaid Al-Qayrawaanee, which is a fiqh textbook based on the Maalikee mathhab. As was the custom of those times in that area the scholars would begin with the chapters of 'aqeedah first.
