فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍ(١١)

Faistaftihim ahum ashaddu khalqan am man khalaqna inna khalaqnahum min teenin lazibin

11 . Then ask them ( O Muhammad ) : Are they stronger as a creation , or those ( others ) whom We have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay .

بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ(١٢)

Bal AAajibta wayaskharoona

12 . Nay , but thou dost marvel when they mock

وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ(١٣)

Waitha thukkiroo la yathkuroona

13 . And heed not when they are reminded ,

وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ(١٤)

Waitha raaw ayatan yastaskhiroona

14 . And seek to scoff when they behold a portent

وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ(١٥)

Waqaloo in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun

15 . And they say : lo! this is mere magic ;

أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ(١٦)

Aitha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman ainna lamabAAoothoona

16 . When we are dead and have become dust and bones , shall we then , forsooth , be raised ( again ) ?

أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ(١٧)

Awaabaona alawwaloona

17 . And our forefathers?

قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ(١٨)

Qul naAAam waantum dakhiroona

18 . Say ( O Muhammad ) : Yea , in truth ; and ye will be brought low .

فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ(١٩)

Fainnama hiya zajratun wahidatun faitha hum yanthuroona

19 . There is but one Shout , and lo! they behold

وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ(٢٠)

Waqaloo ya waylana hatha yawmu alddeeni

20 . And say : Ah , woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment .
