هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ(٢١)

Hatha yawmu alfasli allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona

21 . This is the Day of Separation , which ye used to deny .

۞ احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ(٢٢)

Ohshuroo allatheena thalamoo waazwajahum wama kanoo yaAAbudoona

22 . ( And it is said unto the angels ) : Assemble those who did wrong , together with their wives and what they used to worship

مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ(٢٣)

Min dooni Allahi faihdoohum ila sirati aljaheemi

23 . Instead of Allah , and lead them to the path to hell ;

وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْئُولُونَ(٢٤)

Waqifoohum innahum masooloona

24 . And stop them , for they must be questioned .

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ(٢٥)

Ma lakum la tanasaroona

25 . What aileth you that ye help not one another?

بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ(٢٦)

Bal humu alyawma mustaslimoona

26 . Nay , but this day they make full submission .

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ(٢٧)

Waaqbala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin yatasaaloona

27 . And some of them draw near unto others , mutually questioning .

قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ(٢٨)

Qaloo innakum kuntum tatoonana AAani alyameeni

28 . They say : Lo! ye used to come unto us , imposing , ( swearing that ye spoke the truth ) .

قَالُوا بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ(٢٩)

Qaloo bal lam takoonoo mumineena

29 . They answer : Nay , but ye ( yourselves ) were not believers .

وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ(٣٠)

Wama kana lana AAalaykum min sultanin bal kuntum qawman tagheena

30 . We had no power over you , but ye were wayward folk .
