قَدْ كَانَتْ لَكُمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ إِذْ قَالُوا لِقَوْمِهِمْ إِنَّا بُرَآءُ مِنكُمْ وَمِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ كَفَرْنَا بِكُمْ وَبَدَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّىٰ تُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ إِلَّا قَوْلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّ لَكَ وَمَا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ ۖ رَّبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ (٤ )

Qad kanat lakum oswatun hasanatun fee ibraheema waallatheena maAAahu ith qaloo liqawmihim inna buraao minkum wamimma taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi kafarna bikum wabada baynana wabaynakumu alAAadawatu waalbaghdao abadan hatta tuminoo biAllahi wahdahu illa qawla ibraheema liabeehi laastaghfiranna laka wama amliku laka mina Allahi min shayin rabbana AAalayka tawakkalna wailayka anabna wailayka almaseeru

4 . There is a goodly pattern for you Abraham and those with him , when they told their folk ; Lo! we are guiltless of you and all that ye worship beside Allah . We have done with you . And there hath arisen between us and you hostility and hate for ever until ye believe in Allah only save that which Abraham promised his father ( when he said ) : I will ask forgiveness for thee , though I own nothing for thee from Allah Our Lord! In Thee we put our trust , and unto Thee we turn repentant , and unto Thee is the journeying .

There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone": But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from Allah." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal.

تمہیں ابراہیم اور ان کے رفقاء کی نیک چال چلنی (ضرور) ہے۔ جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم کے لوگوں سے کہا کہ ہم تم سے اور ان (بتوں) سے جن کو تم خدا کے سوا پوجتے ہو بےتعلق ہیں (اور) تمہارے (معبودوں کے کبھی) قائل نہیں (ہوسکتے) اور جب تک تم خدائے واحد اور ایمان نہ لاؤ ہم میں تم میں ہمیشہ کھلم کھلا عداوت اور دشمنی رہے گی۔ ہاں ابراہیمؑ نے اپنے باپ سے یہ (ضرور) کہا کہ میں آپ کے لئے مغفرت مانگوں گا اور خدا کے سامنے آپ کے بارے میں کسی چیز کا کچھ اختیار نہیں رکھتا۔ اے ہمارے پروردگار تجھ ہی پر ہمارا بھروسہ ہے اور تیری ہی طرف ہم رجوع کرتے ہیں اور تیرے ہی حضور میں (ہمیں) لوٹ کر آنا ہے

Sesungguhnya telah ada suri tauladan yang baik bagimu pada Ibrahim dan orang-orang yang bersama dengan dia; ketika mereka berkata kepada kaum mereka: "Sesungguhnya kami berlepas diri daripada kamu dari daripada apa yang kamu sembah selain Allah, kami ingkari (kekafiran)mu dan telah nyata antara kami dan kamu permusuhan dan kebencian buat selama-lamanya sampai kamu beriman kepada Allah saja. Kecuali perkataan Ibrahim kepada bapaknya: "Sesungguhnya aku akan memohonkan ampunan bagi kamu dan aku tiada dapat menolak sesuatupun dari kamu (siksaan) Allah". (Ibrahim berkata): "Ya Tuhan kami hanya kepada Engkaulah kami bertawakkal dan hanya kepada Engkaulah kami bertaubat dan hanya kepada Engkaulah kami kembali".

Certes, vous avez eu un bel exemple [à suivre] en Abraham et en ceux qui étaient avec lui, quand ils dirent à leur peuple : "Nous vous désavouons, vous et ce que vous adorez en dehors d´Allah. Nous vous renions. Entre vous et nous, l´inimitié et la haine sont à jamais déclarées jusqu´à ce que vous croyiez en Allah, seul". Exception faite de la parole d´Abraham [adressée] à son père : "J´implorerai certes, le pardon [d´Allah] en ta faveur bien que je ne puisse rien pour toi auprès d´Allah". "Seigneur, c´est en Toi que nous mettons notre confiance et à Toi nous revenons [repentants]. Et vers Toi est le Devenir.

Bereits gab es für euch ein schönes Vorbild an Ibrahim und an denjenigen mit ihm, als sie zu ihren Leuten sagten: " Gewiß, wir sagen uns los von euch und von dem, dem ihr anstelle von ALLAH dient. Wir betreiben Kufr euch gegenüber, und zwischen uns und euch sind sichtbar die Feindschaft und die Abneigung für immer, bis ihr den Iman an ALLAH alleine verinnerlicht - außer der Äußerung von Ibrahim seinem Vater gegenüber: "Ich werde doch für dich um Vergebung bitten, aber ich verfüge für dich bei ALLAH über nichts." - Unser HERR! Dir gegenüber üben wir Tawakkul, zu Dir kehren wir um und zu Dir ist das Werden.

Divan uzor za vas je Ibrahim i oni koji su uz njega bili kada su narodu svome rekli: "Mi s vama nemamo ništa, a ni sa onima kojima se, umjesto Allahu, klanjate; mi vas se odričemo, i neprijateljstvo i mržnja će između nas ostati sve dok ne budete u Allaha, Njega jedinog, vjerovali!", - ali nisu riječi Ibrahimove ocu svome; "Ja ću se moliti da ti oprosti, ali te ne mogu od Allaha odbraniti." - Gospodaru naš, u Tebe se uzdamo i Tebi se obraćamo i Tebi ćemo se vratiti.
