وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِ فَحَاسَبْنَاهَا حِسَابًا شَدِيدًا وَعَذَّبْنَاهَا عَذَابًا نُّكْرًا (٨ )

Wakaayyin min qaryatin AAatat AAan amri rabbiha warusulihi fahasabnaha hisaban shadeedan waAAaththabnaha AAathaban nukran

8 . And how many a community revolted against the ordinance of its Lord and His messenger , and we called it to a stern account and punished it with dire punishment ,

How many populations that insolently opposed the Command of their Lord and of His messengers, did We not then call to account,- to severe account?- and We imposed on them an exemplary Punishment.

اور بہت سی بستیوں (کے رہنے والوں)نے اپنے پروردگار اور اس کے پیغمبروں کے احکام سے سرکشی کی تو ہم نے ان کو سخت حساب میں پکڑ لیا اور ان پر (ایسا) عذاب نازل کیا جو نہ دیکھا تھا نہ سنا

Dan berapalah banyaknya (penduduk) negeri yang mendurhakai perintah Tuhan mereka dan Rasul-rasul-Nya, maka Kami hisab penduduk negeri itu dengan hisab yang keras, dan Kami azab mereka dengan azab yang mengerikan.

Que de cités ont refusé avec insolence le commandement de leur Seigneur et de Ses messagers ! Nous leur en demandâmes compte avec sévérité, et les châtiâmes d´un châtiment inouï.

Und wie viele Ortschaften widersetzten sich der Anweisung ihres HERRN und Seiner Gesandten, dann rechneten WIR mit ihnen ab mit einer harten Abrechnung und peinigten WIR sie eine entsetzliche Peinigung.

A koliko se sela i gradova oglušilo o naređenje Gospodara njihova i poslanika Njegovih; Mi ćemo od njih zatražiti da nam potanko račun polože i užasnom kaznom ćemo ih kazniti;
